Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate the Reserve Deputy Class of 2018 on their recent graduation.
John Bazzano, Timothy Cribbs, Joaquin Gomez Jr., Wade Hoelcel, Scott Lower, Kenneth Poindexter, and Lance Putnam were surrounded by family and friends as they were commissioned on June 14th, 2018 in a ceremony conducted by Chief Deputy John Smith.

“The application process is very comprehensive. Each year dozens apply, but only a few are accepted into the program,” said Lieutenant Brian Prentice. “The course work and field training will eliminate even more.”
Reserve deputies attend a weekly four hour class for eight months. They also complete field training on firearms, emergency vehicle operation, active shooter, and trauma first aid.
Reserve deputies are commissioned officers with the same duties as full time deputies. They can also volunteer their time for special events, transports, and serving warrants.

The MCSO is currently accepting applications for the Reserve Deputy Program. Stop by the Sheriff’s Office at 120 Commerce Street to pick up an application or visit www.mcsoreserves.org to find an application online.
