The cover story profiled Chris Strandburg, the Clarksville dentist who appeared on The Bachelorette. The profile had fun with its reality-TV hook — the dentist recalling how his appreciation for Southern values grew after dating two Southern girls — in the kind of light, personable local-celebrity story the magazine relished.

“The Changing Landscape of College Street” documented the ongoing transformation of one of Clarksville's notable corridors, while “B-Cycle Is Now Open in Clarksville” announced the arrival of the city's bike-share program. The health pages tackled nutrition head-on with the “New U.S. Dietary Guidelines” and the pointed question “Is 5 a Day Enough?,” alongside dental coverage. A “Weekend Wine Run” added a note of leisure, and a thoughtful piece on social media and young people rounded things out.

The recurring departments round out a March number that moves easily from a hometown celebrity to civic change to practical health — a city growing and changing in real time, finding the newsworthy and the useful in the same issue as Clarksville shakes off winter.

Taylor K. Lieberstein's profile leaned into the hook: she had spent Valentine's Day with her dentist, who also happened to be Chris Strandburg, a contestant on the eleventh season of The Bachelorette. Strandburg made the top six of roughly thirty suitors before an emotional exit in Ireland on the June 29 episode, one rose short of the finale with Kaitlyn Bristowe — the West Coast transplant who had traveled all the way to Clarksville to practice dentistry and, maybe, to find love.
