The seasonal cover feature, “Haunted Clarksville,” leaned into October with the city's ghost stories and spooky lore. The issue also used its pages to explain how residents and organizations can get their own events and stories into the magazine — a reminder that Clarksville Living is as much a community bulletin board as a glossy read.
The Veteran Business of the Month was LTA Tech Services, a full-service Clarksville IT company led by U.S. Army Major (Ret.) Len Tharpe. Music ran through the issue: a profile of Jun Espinosa recalled meeting him when he was still in the Army, showing up at the open mic at Revel House with an acoustic guitar and a BIG voice that still astonishes — a local talent who can genuinely belt. Another feature, “Flying High,” covered a benefit evening where Frank Lott thanked title sponsor Legends Bank and told guests that what they did that night would impact many lives.
The recurring departments round out an October number that captures Clarksville in full color — from haunted history to a soldier-turned-singer.
The issue used its pages to explain how residents and organizations can get their own events and stories into the magazine, a candid look behind the curtain. CLM works with longer lead times than a newspaper or online outlet, it noted, planning content one to three months ahead, so pitches should start early — and while some months the team is searching for things to cover, others, like May and September, they can't begin to cover it all.
