Clarksville to Host Amateur Athletic Union Boys’ Basketball National Championships for 2021, 2023

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Officials with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) last week named Clarksville as the site of the 2021 and 2023 Boys Basketball National Championships for 10-and-Under and 4th Grade Division I and Division II.

Visit Clarksville officials estimate attendance of 3,885 athletes, coaches, AAU officials and family members for approximately five nights for each yearly event.

The Riverside (CA) Hawks claimed the Division 1 10U Championship in Clarksville in 2018.

Instant Peay Play: AAU Tournament just one of many APSU involvements with local community

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – Once again, Austin Peay State University (APSU) is the cornerstone of the City of Clarksville hosting the current Amateur Athletic Union’s Fourth-Grade National Championships and the 10-and-under DI & DII National Championships that are going on this week.

Over 50 AAU teams and 3,000 overall visitors will spend the week in Clarksville accounting for around $2.5 million for the local economy in hotel rooms, food, gas, shopping, ect., while also giving the city a chance to showcase its other venues and actives while they are here.

Clarksville Makes Pitch for TSSAA Football Championships

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – With a little luck and a lot of community support, local tourism officials are hoping Clarksville will host the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) state football championships beginning in 2017.

Visit Clarksville and Austin Peay State University athletic department officials hosted a site visit for seven TSSAA staff earlier in September to show just what Clarksville has to offer.

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – Over a period of almost two weeks Clarksville will be hosting two Amateur Athletic Union national basketball tournaments, which is just another event that Austin Peay State University is involved with that helps bring in big money for the area.

While Austin Peay’s participation isn’t the only reason tournaments like that come to the area year after year there is no doubt having the university’s involvement is a key cog in the Clarksville-Montgomery County being able to bring such events in year after year.

Five AAU National Basketball Championships in Four Years Means Millions of Dollars For Clarksville – Montgomery County Community

 

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Over the next four years, Clarksville-Montgomery County will host five high economic impact AAU Basketball Championships bringing in a total of $8.9 million of revenue. The 2015 event will be held this upcoming July 10th-15th.

The community will welcome the 2015-2018 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) 10U Boy’s Basketball National Championships as well as the 2016 AAU 6th Grade Girl’s National Championships. In total, over 15,000 visitors will pass through to be a part of, or watch, the games. Clarksville Montgomery County Convention and Visitors BureauClarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce that the community will host the 2015 and 2016 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) 4th Grade Division One and Division Two Boys’ Basketball National Championships. The tournaments will take place in mid-July of both years.

Traditionally, the AAU Basketball Site Selection Committee meets annually, where they bid on tournaments in advance of two and three years. AAU Basketball Tournament Volunteers Needed

 

Clarksville Montgomery County Convention and Visitors BureauClarksville, TN – Volunteers are needed for the 2011 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)  7th Grade Girls’ Basketball National Championship, hosted by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau, which will be held from Sunday, July 10th to Friday, July 15th.

This year, the tournaments will take place during the week at 12 different venues throughout the community. Volunteers are needed on Sunday during the day for registration and at 6:00pm to help line up athletes and work the opening ceremony. Responsibilities during the week-long tournaments will include checking player passes, selling tickets and programs and taking tickets. Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Competitive Basketball Clarksville, TN – Tryouts for the Clarksville 4th-8th grade Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Competitive Basketball teams will be December 4th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Richview Middle School.
