Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – In the soccer program’s 16-year history, Austin Peay State University has had several of the best players in Ohio Valley Conference history dot its rosters over the years and current Governor Kirstin Robertson is more than making her case of joining that elite group.

Robertson, a 5-4, senior, forward/midfielder from Ashland City, TN, is currently the team’s leading scoring in 2017, which follows a 2016 season where she led the team with 11 goals – the second most in the OVC last year.

APSU Soccer’s McKenzie Dixon, Gina Fabbro earn All-OVC Honors

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUBrentwood, TN – Freshman McKenzie Dixon and junior Gina Fabbro, of Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, took home Ohio Valley Conference hardware at the tournament banquet, Thursday.

In her first season as a Lady Gov, Dixon was tabbed to both the All-OVC First Team and All-Newcomer Team, while Fabbro landed on the All-OVC Second Team.

APSU Women’s Soccer places four on All-OVC Teams

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUMartin, TN – Four Austin Peay State University women’s soccer players were honored at the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference postseason awards banquet, Wednesday, in the annual ceremony prior to the start of the OVC Tournament.

Seniors Tatiana and Natalia Ariza both found homes on the first-team, while fellow senior Andy Quiceno was a second-team honoree. Freshman Gina Fabbro earned a spot on the All-Newcomer team.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Soccer secure first round bye with 2-1 victory over Eastern Kentucky Colonels

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team locked up a bye in next week’s Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with a resounding 2-1 victory in Sunday’s season finale against Eastern Kentucky.

The Lady Govs (11-7-1, 7-2-1 OVC) close out an undefeated October – and have not lost since September 28th – by earning a second-seed in the conference tournament. Eastern Kentucky (10-6-2, 6-3-1 OVC) was Austin Peay’s main competition for the bye but couldn’t overcome two quick Lady Gov goals.

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsMartin, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team battled defending Ohio Valley Conference Tournament champion UT Martin but fell 2-1 to the Skyhawks, Friday, at Skyhawk Field

“The game was very back and forth,” said Austin Peay head coach Kelley Guth. “UT Martin has some very dangerous players on offense, and so do we. There were a lot of chances out there for both teams.”
