Clarksville, TN – A department-record 37 student-athletes earned 4.0 grade-point averages during the Spring 2015 semester, the Austin Peay State University athletics department announced Wednesday.
Those 37 student-athletes were among 159 named to the Spring 2015 Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, representing more than half (52.3 percent) of the department’s student-athletes.
In addition, 83 student-athletes were named to Austin Peay’s dean’s list. The department finished both the spring semester and 2014-15 academic year with a 2.88 GPA.

Fairfax, VA – Eleven Austin Peay State University student-athletes were named to the 2015 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholars Teams as selected by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine.
Juniors Kymmalett Ross and Jennifer Nwokocha were joined by sophomores Chancis Jones and Unjula Lester and seniors Erika Adams, Jessica Gray, Serigne Mboup, Zavion Williams and Bradford Wilmer were first-time recipients of the honor.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University held its Spring Commencement ceremonies, May 8th at the Dunn Center, with 43 Governors and Lady Govs athletes not only picking up their respective degrees, but also leaving a legacy of success during their time on campus.
The 42 graduating athletes represented 12 of 14 teams at Austin Peay, with only the women’s cross country and tennis teams not having any team member graduate this spring.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s 330 student-athletes posted a 2.838 grade-point average during the recently completed Fall 2014 semester, the athletics department announced Tuesday.
The department named 157 student-athletes to the Fall 2014 Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, representing 47.5 percent of the department’s student-athletes. Included in that tally were 26 student-athletes named to the president’s list – recording a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester – and 84 student-athletes named to APSU’s dean’s list, earning a 3.5 or better GPA.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s 313 student-athletes posted a 2.914 grade-point average during the recently completed Spring 2014 semester, the athletics department announced Wednesday.
The 2.914 cumulative GPA accumulated by the department’s student-athletes was the eighth-best mark in program history. It also is the fifth consecutive semester the group posted a 2.90 GPA or better.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s 331 student-athletes posted a 2.944 grade-point average during the recently completed Fall 2013 semester, the athletics department announced Tuesday.
The 2.944 cumulative GPA accumulated by the department’s student-athletes was the fourth-best mark in program history. It also is the third consecutive semester the group posted a 2.90 GPA or better.

Clarksville, TN – The smallest man in Austin Peay’s secondary is also the most respected player on the Governors defense.
Little has come easy for senior safety Antwaun Majors, a 5-9, 170-pound fifth-year senior. Despite twice earning Region Defensive Player of the Year Award and the prestigious Nick Coutras Award while at Mt. Juliet High School, he came to Austin Peay as a walk-on.
