Nashville, TN – The Oklahoma City Dodgers rolled over the Nashville Sounds Tuesday night 16-1 at First Tennessee Park.
Oklahoma City hitters launched five home runs off Nashville pitching, including four off starter Austin Bibens-Dirkx. Trouble started in the first inning when Bibens-Dirkx walked the first three batters of the game. DJ Peters knocked in two runs with a base hit up the middle and Kyle Garlick hit the first home run of the night – a two-run shot to right-center to make it 4-0.
The Dodgers powered up again in the second with back-to-back home runs. Gavin Lux drilled a two-run blast to right-center and Will Smith followed with a solo homer to extend the lead to 7-0.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds held the lead for the whole game in 6-4 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park. Pacific Coast League All-Star Seth Maness earned his fifth win of the season in the contest.
Two runs were scored by Nashville in the first inning, with one run scoring on an error. With the bases loaded, Angelo Mora overthrew second base after fielding a groundball. That scored Zack Granite and Scott Heineman to put the Sounds up 2-0.
Oklahoma City, OK – Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the Nashville Sounds ran way with a 13-6 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers with the help of Jose Trevino driving in four runs and Zack Granite scoring four runs.
One night after collecting a season-high 15 hits, Nashville scored a season-high 13 runs and matched the hit output with another 15. They scored two or more runs in four separate innings, including four in the fourth and four in the eighth.
It was all Nashville from the start as Matt Davidson and Andy Ibanez delivered two-out, run-scoring hits in the top of the first inning to give the Sounds a 2-0 lead.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds beat the Oklahoma City Dodgers in the series opener 4-2 as Tim Dillard earned his 40th career win with the Sounds.
Wei-Chieh Huang made his first career appearance in Triple-A and with Nashville this season, working as the “opener”. He pitched the first two innings and sent down all six batters he faced, striking out three of them.
Huang was relieved by Dillard in the third inning and retired the next six batters he faced, making it 12 straight batters to start the game.

The last eight games between the Sounds and Dodgers have been decided by one run.
After the Dodgers posted three runs in the eighth inning, the Sounds used a three-run rally of their own in the ninth inning to push the game to extras.
Oklahoma City, OK – Jorge Mateo broke a 4-4 tie with an RBI triple in the top of the 9th inning on Tuesday night and propelled the Nashville Sounds to a 5-4 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The victory ended a three-game losing streak for the Sounds.
The Sounds trailed 2-0 in the 5th when Mateo started the team’s scoring by singling off Brock Stewart to score Sheldon Neuse. Then Melvin Mercedes and Nick Martini connected on consecutive RBI triples, and Ramon Laureano grounded out to score Martini and give the Sounds a 4-2 lead. Neuse has seven multi-hit games in his last 11, and Martini now has reached base safely in 55 consecutive games as a Sound.
Nashville Honky Tonks
Nashville, TN -The Nashville Honky Tonks wrapped up the 2018 Battle for the Boot series with a 5-2 defeat Sunday night at the hands of the Round Rock Dance Halls.
Round Rock’s Drew Robinson picked up right where he left off from Saturday’s game. Robinson slugged a game-tying two-out home run Saturday night and then crushed an 0-2 pitch beyond The Band Box to lead off Sunday’s ballgame.
The Honky Tonks responded in the home half of the frame. Jorge Mateo singled and swiped second base. Four batters later he came around to score on a play that saw two errors committed by Round Rock shortstop Cliff Pennington.
Austin Peay Governors Baseball lead by Greg Bachman’s six RBI’s get opening day victory over Illinois State

Clarksville, TN – Third baseman Greg Bachman had six RBI in the first four innings and Austin Peay State University’s baseball team posted a 9-6 victory against Illinois State in opening day action, Friday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.
Bachman was responsible for six of Austin Peay’s (1-0) first seven runs in the contest. He opened the scoring with a three-run first-inning home run off the scoreboard in left. One inning later, he added a two-run single up the middle, giving the Govs a 6-1 lead. However it was his run-scoring double in the fourth that provided the eventual game-winning run and was his final hit of a 3-for-5 opening-day effort.
