Clarksville Tree Lighting Ceremony will continue; Christmas Parade cancelled

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, following numerous cancellations from parade participants – including the Budweiser Clydesdales and bands that are unable to perform under the current weather conditions – are cancelling this year’s Christmas Parade.

Deadline for Clarksville’s 54th Annual Christmas Parade is quickly approaching

 

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Clarksville Parks and RecreationMontgomery County Government have partnered along with Agero to host the 54th Annual Christmas Parade. The parade, a night-time, lighted Christmas parade, is scheduled for December 7th, 2013 beginning at 5:00pm in Downtown Clarksville.

Charles Hand and Budweiser of Clarksville arranged for the visit to Clarksville, and there will be several opportunities for the public to view the magnificent horses.

Budweiser Clydesdales coming to Fort Campbell Saturday

 

Budweiser of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville, and Budweiser of Hopkinsville, part of the Hand Family Companies, have arranged for the famous Budweiser Clydesdales to visit Fort Campbell Kentucky on Saturday, June 9th from noon-3:00pm at the Fort Campbell Exchange.

“The Clydesdales are the best-known symbol of the Budweiser brand and we are bringing them to Fort Campbell in support of Budweiser’s partnership with the Folds of Honor Foundation,” said JR Hand, President and Chief Operating Officer of Hand Family Companies.

Fort Campbell’s Super Saturday Air Show made the Screaming Eagles roar

 

101st Airborne Divison at Fort CampbellFor many people the highlight of the Week of the Eagles has got to be the Super Saturday Air show powered by Tyson Foods. This extravaganza event was expected to draw a crowd of 65,000 people, but most likely far exceeded that.  Comprised of a series of simultaneous events including:

A Community Fair featuring local organizations that offer their services to soldiers and their families.

The Community Health Fair gave a people a quick medical checkup, and with the harsh sun and high temperatures the sound advice to keep hydrated.

The iconic Budweiser Clydesdales pay a visit to Historic Downtown Clarksville

 

downtown-logoAdvertising affects our collective psyche in interesting ways. We frequently relate to it, and when we do, we embrace it and make it our own. This is the case with the Budweiser Clydesdales. The public has developed a love for this symbol of Anheuser-Busch, and Budweiser Beer. Indeed Clarksville Tennessee was proud to host a visit by these beautiful animals yesterday. During the visit they drew a crowd of hundreds to Historic Downtown Clarksville to see this iconic team pull that highly polished red wagon down Franklin Street.
