Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has sworn in their newest deputy.
Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson administered the Oath of Office to K-9 Deputy Roscoe Wednesday afternoon, August 14th, 2019. Afterwards he signed the Oath with his paw.
“We are proud and excited to bring Roscoe into our MCSO family. Given the current demand on our K9 Unit, I have no doubt he will be a great asset to our agency and community,” said Sheriff Fuson.
Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announces Corporal Eric Trout has been promoted to K9 Sergeant and Sergeant Mike Oliver has been transferred to Criminal Investigations Sergeant.
Trout started his career with the MCSO in April 2013 as a K9 Deputy in the Uniform Patrols Bureau. He was promoted to K9 Corporal in March 2019. Prior to working at the Sheriff’s Office he served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as a Military Policeman. He also worked for seven years for the Federal Reserve Police as a K9 Officer. Trout brings nearly 18 years of law enforcement experience to his new position.

Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) would like to congratulate Matthew Riels, John Fleming, and Eric Trout on their promotion to Corporal in the Uniform Patrols Bureau.
Corporal Riels began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in May 2008 as a Deputy in our Detention Services Bureau. He transferred to the Patrol Division in October 2012 and was promoted to Field Training Officer (FTO) in August 2016. Corporal Riels brings nearly 11 years of experience to his new position.
According to organizer Leanna Sleigh, from February 6th to February 16th, 2018 students, parents, faculty, and staff collected food for animal shelters during their Pisgah Loves Pets food drive.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Teamwork leads to immediate recovery of stolen items, discovery of child abuse
Montgomery County, TN – Teamwork between Montgomery County Sheriff’s patrol, criminal investigations and K9 units early this morning led to the immediate recovery of stolen property from an aggravated burglary and the discovery of child abuse.
Just after midnight, Deputy Shanna Grice responded to a call on Kay Road where the victim said he had possibly noticed his neighbor, Richard Allen, 32, run from his back yard. Deputies noticed that the home, two garden sheds and a vehicle had been burglarized.
Montgomery County, TN – Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are continuing the search for one of two juveniles who escaped transport earlier this afternoon.
The two were being transported from court back to Middle Tennessee Juvenile Detention by a correctional officer with the facility.
Around 1:00pm, passersby called 911 when the juveniles jumped from the back window of the transport van at the stoplight at state routes 48 and 149.
Gary Mathews Motors recognized for donation of ballistic and stab proof vests to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County community gathered in front of Gary Mathews Motors (1100 Ashland City Road) yesterday morning, to recognize them for a generous contribution which allowed the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to purchase 5 customized bullet and stab resistant vests for the MCSO K-9 Unit.
“A very special and elite team of law enforcement officers exist, who having undergone years of rigorous training. On a daily basis, these teams prove their loyalty and dedication to their community including Montgomery County’s own K9 Unit,” said Gary Mathews, President and CEO of Gary Mathews Motors.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has Four Graduate from Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy
Montgomery County, TN – Four new deputies will soon be patrolling the streets of Montgomery County after graduating from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
The graduates were Deputies Eric Trout, Patrick Turner, Christopher Owens and Robert Parker.
