Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – During the Spring 2020 semester, Austin Peay State University (APSU) students, faculty and staff made many adjustments to conduct all classes online as a result of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The pandemic has also caused many members of the APSU campus community to experience unique personal difficulties in their lives.

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – In lieu of the annual three days of giving surrounding Govs Give, Austin Peay State University (APSU) is asking you to give back during these times of uncertainty.

Govs Give Back began Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 with the aim of helping students around Austin Peay State University impacted by COVID-19 Coronavirus. Every corner of our campus has been impacted by the ongoing pandemic; this initiative is designed to provide urgent financial assistance for students-athletes who have recently suffered economic, medical or other hardships.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Govs Give Back helps 300-plus families over the Holidays

APSU’s “Govs Give Back” partners with Manna Cafe on Saturday

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN –  Manna Café Ministries, in partnership with Austin Peay FCA will conduct “Govs Give Back”, a Mobile Pantry, on Saturday, December 7th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Burt Elementary School, located at 110 Bailey Street. At this event Manna Café will be giving away food to anyone in the community needing assistance with groceries.

“Live the Dream” Event Features Softball Clinic and Banquet with Team USA’s Lauren Gibson

 

UT Lady VolsClarksville, TN – Faith Opportunity Character Unity Sacrifice (FOCUS) Softball is hosting a softball clinic Saturday, November 2nd, called “Live the Dream”. The Clinic will feature instruction from the 2013 SEC Player of the Year, Lady Vol and Team USA softball player Lauren Gibson.

Her Team USA teammate and former Lady Vol, Raven Chavanne will also teach at the clinic in addition to several collegiate players from across the Middle Tennessee area.

Govs Give Back a success for APSU Student-Athletes

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay’s student-athletes were privileged to be part of “Govs Give Back” for the third-straight year, this time helping close to 300 families with the Clarksville community with holiday groceries.

The project, spearheaded by the Austin Peay Fellowship of Christian Athletes, included volunteers from many Governors and Lady Govs sports teams through the Student Athlete Advisory Council.

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University student-athletes will be out in force, Saturday morning, for the third-annual Govs Give Back event.

Sponsored by Austin Peay’s FCA and partnered with Manna Café, Austin Peay student-athletes will gather at Burt School at 8:00am to begin unloading trucks sent from the Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville to provide food for those in need in the Clarksville community.

“Govs Give Back” impacts more than 200 Clarksville families

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay community flexed its muscles, Sunday, when more than 80 volunteers gathered to supply holiday groceries to the Lincoln Homes Community – a section of low-income housing adjacent to Austin Peay’s main campus – as part of the Govs Give Back.
