Tennessee Lady Vols face Alabama Crimson Tide in second round of SEC Tournament

UT Lady VolsGreenville, SC – The No. 5 seed Lady Vols (19-10, 10-6 SEC) are set to play No. 12 seed Alabama (18-12, 5-11 SEC) at approximately 1:30pm CT on Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

The game will be broadcast on SEC Network and will be available online through WatchESPN. Courtney Lyle (PxP), Tamika Catchings (Analyst) and Steffi Sorensen (Reporter) will describe the action for the SEC Network broadcast of Tennessee’s second-round game.

Fans can also tune into their local Lady Vol Network station to catch Mickey Dearstone describing the action.

Tennessee Lady Vols loses at Alabama, 65-57

UT Lady VolsTuscaloosa, AL Schaquilla Nunn recorded her first double-double of the season, but it wasn’t enough as Tennessee fell short against Alabama, 65-57, at Coleman Coliseum on Thursday.

Nunn finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Lady Vols (16-10, 7-6 SEC). Mercedes Russell and Alexa Middleton also cracked double-digit scoring, with 17 and 14, respectively.

Coco Knight led the Crimson Tide (16-10, 4-9 SEC) with 18 points and eight rebounds. Hannah Cook finished with 16 points and nine rebounds in the contest.

UT Lady Vols Basketball late rally falls short at Alabama Crimson Tide

UT Lady VolsTuscaloosa, AL Bashaara Graves led Tennessee with 15 points, but the Lady Vols could not battle back from an 11-point halftime deficit, falling to Alabama, 54-46, on Thursday at Foster Auditorium.

The loss ended Tennessee’s (16-12, 7-8 SEC) 42-game winning streak against Alabama (15-13, 4-11) and marked the Lady Vols’ first-ever loss in Tuscaloosa. UT’s last loss to Alabama entering Thursday was on March 3rd, 1984.

Graves finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Mercedes Russell recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Jaime Nared added 13 points and seven boards.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN   The Tennessee Lady Vols (16-11, 7-7 SEC) will play their final road game of the season as they look to sweep Alabama (14-13, 3-11 SEC) . Tipoff is slated for 7:30pm CT/8:30pm ET at Foster Auditorium and the game will be available on SEC Network + (Online) and WatchESPN.

Additionally the game will also be a part of SEC Network’s Whip-Around coverage. The multi-game TV coverage will alternate between the seven games being played, 7:00pm-11:00pm ET.

Every SEC women’s team is featured in the television presentation. SEC Now will recap the events with highlights at 11:00pm, as well as news and information from the day.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The #19/23 Lady Vols (12-8, 3-4 SEC) will look to bounce back from two one-possession losses to top 15 teams as they return to Thompson-Boling Arena to take on Alabama (13-8, 2-6 SEC) on Sunday. Tipoff is slated for 3:00pm ET/2:00pm CT, and the game will be broadcast on SEC Network and available online via WatchESPN.

The UT women are suiting up for their third game of the week after playing at #12/9 Kentucky on Monday night and at #13/13 Mississippi State on Thursday night.

Alabama is doing the same, having played at Vanderbilt on Monday night and at home vs. #10/10 Texas A&M on Thursday night.
