APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer head coach Kelley Guth, who has helmed the program since its inception in 2002, resigned Wednesday for personal reasons. Athletics Director Ryan Ivey accepted Guth’s resignation and has named Jeremy Sullivan as the program’s acting head coach, effective immediately.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team announced, Wednesday, Jeremy Sullivan has been promoted to associate head coach, while Samantha Parker has been added as an assistant.

Sullivan, who enters his ninth season at Austin Peay, has played large roles in both recruiting and developing talent during his tenure.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – After reporting to camp on Tuesday, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer continues its preseason arrangements leading up to the 2015 campaign.

The Lady Govs will bring a mix of experience and youth to the pitch this season, with nine starters returning from a year ago.

APSU coach Kelley Guth announces Four Women’s Soccer ID Camps

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Four women’s soccer ID Camp dates have been set beginning this fall, Austin Peay State University head coach Kelley Guth announced Monday.

The first assembly will take place on November 21st at Morgan Brothers Field, while two winter sessions are offered on December 12th and January 23rd. In addition, a spring period is available on February 27th.

Austin Peay State University Governors and Chamber Community Golf Classic set for Friday

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Governors and Chamber Community Golf Classic and Partner Celebration Dinner is Friday and pairings have been announced for the one-day, three-course tournament.

The event, which has seen APSU Athletics and the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce combined their two tournaments, will be played Friday at the Clarksville Country Club, Swan Lake Golf Course and The Links at Novadell in Hopkinsville, KY.

The shotgun start for the four-player, best-ball scramble is 10:30am at the three courses.

APSU staff members honored for continuous service, retirement or education

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Several employees at Austin Peay State University were recognized Friday, July 22nd for their continuous years of service. A reception was held in the Morgan University Center ballroom to honor those employees.

Donna Liverett, administrative assistant in the APSU Department of Chemistry, was honored for her 40 years of service to APSU.
Employees with 25 years are Clifford Frederick, Cheryl Garrett, David Gleckler, Denise Hemingway, Michele Jones, Betty Leimer and Julia McGee.

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team capped a memorable season with three awards from the National Soccer Coaches of America Association. Jeremy Sullivan was named the Midwest Region College Assistant Coach of the Year, while freshman Tatiana Ariza was named first-team All-South Region and Natalia Ariza was named second-team All-South Region.
