Montgomery County, TN – When Dr. David Ripple applied for the position of Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Director in Clarksville Tennessee, he had know idea that one, he was not the first choice, and two, he was walking into the biggest controversy the Regional Planning Commission has ever seen.

Dr. Ripple, 65, was very excited about the opportunity to live in Clarksville because of it’s proximity to Evansville Indiana, where he still has a son, and where he calls home.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission to hire Nashville law firm to Investigate Employee Grievance

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission voted to hire Nashville attorney, H. Rowan Leathers III of the Nashville law firm Miller & Martin PLLC, to investigate an employee grievance filed by John Spainhoward against Mabel Larson, a member of the planning commission.

In a special called meeting on Wednesday, Clarksville City Attorney Lance Baker and Montgomery County Attorney Austin Peay gave three recommendations to the commission for their consideration.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission will meet today at 2:30pm in a special called session to discuss a recommendation from the Executive Committee to hire a Nashville law firm to investigate a grievance against filed by an employee of the planning commission against one of the board members.

John Spainhoward filed a grievance against Mabel Larson, a member of the Executive Committee of the Planning Commission, claiming she threatened his job, and made unfounded claims about an anonymous e-mail that claimed Larson may have violated ethical standards when she voted on cases involving a McDonalds restaurant and property owned by Harry Crocker, her longtime companion and friend. «Read the rest of this article»

Montgomery County, TN – In a meeting that lasted all but six minutes, the executive committee of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission decided to recommend an independent investigation into a grievance filed by an employee of the regional planning commission, against Mabel Larson, the vice-chairman of the Planning Commission.

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office denies they conducted any investigation into an anonymous e-mail at the center of a controversy at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission.

Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission Employee files grievance against Planning Commission Member

Montgomery County, TN – An employee of the Regional Planning Commission, John Spainhoward, has filed a grievance against Mabel Larson, who is a member of the Regional Planning Commission appointed by Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, after Larson allegedly threatened his job after accusing him of sending an email that accused  her of ethics violations.
