Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report that sinkhole activity has created a depression in a portion of the roadway near Mile Marker Nine on Interstate 24 in Montgomery County. Traffic is backed up about two miles.
Only one of three lanes of traffic is currently shut down, but all three lanes will be closed and all Eastbound traffic will be stopped as soon as heavy repair equipment arrives.
Clarksville, TN – Currently, the Clarksville Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash with injuries that occurred on Ashland City Road near the Gary Matthews car lot just before 4:30pm on December 15th, 2016.
The eastbound lanes of travel are closed. Travelers are advised to avoid this area if at all possible. The injury status of individuals involved is unknown, but does not appear life-threatening. We will send out an update when the roadway is open.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on a section of Peachers Mill Road near the Pine Mountain Road intersection to repair a water main leak.
The water outage includes Pine Mountain Road, Woodbridge Drive, Northwood Terrace, Mill Creek Road and Deepwood Court in the Millstone Place subdivision. Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed both southbound lanes on South Riverside Drive between Commerce Street and Adams Street for water main line maintenance. The center turning lane will be designated to southbound traffic.
The work is anticipated to be finished by approximately 3:30pm when the lanes will be reopened.
Clarksville, TN – There is a pavement collapse in front of Whitt’s Barbecue at 2206 Madison Street, 41A South, directly across the street from the Clarksville Gas and Water Department.
The two south bound lanes on the road are closed. Traffic is being directed into the turning lane to bypass the blocked area.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water construction crews will once again be working on Madison Street today, January 3rd, closing both westbound lanes of Madison Street from Tanglewood Drive to Liberty Parkway. Crews will close the lanes at 9:30am to 2:30pm for natural gas line maintenance and inspection work.
The center lane will be designated for travel for westbound traffic.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water will close both eastbound lanes of Madison Street from Liberty Parkway to Crossland Avenue from 9:30am to 2:30pm for natural gas line maintenance and inspection work.
Eastbound traffic may pass using the center lane.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed both lanes of North First Street from Main Street to College for natural gas line maintenance. The work is expected to be complete by 3:30pm when the road will be reopened to traffic.
Motorists are advised to be alert and aware of workers and equipment when approaching the work zone and to slow down and obey directional signs.
Tennessee Department of Transportation announces Section of I-24 Closed in Downtown Nashville this Weekend, Final Closure
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) contract crews will close a three mile section of I-24 near downtown Nashville this weekend to finish work on a major bridge rehabilitation project over Main and Woodland Streets. Weather permitting, this will be the project’s final full weekend interstate closure.
I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed from the I-24/I-65 split north of downtown to the I-24/I-40 split east of downtown beginning Friday August 24th, at 9:00pm. Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is advising the public that beginning Tuesday, August 14th, 2012, Greenland Farms Drive will be closed and/or lanes will be blocked near Ambleside Drive. The Clarksville Street Department will be conducting drainage work.
It is anticipated that Greenland Farms Drive will be closed for two to three days. Traffic will be rerouted in this area and drivers should expect minor delays.
