Tennessee Titans last game against Kansas City Chiefs

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans used two touchdown passes by Jake Locker and four field goals by Ryan Succop to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 26-10 in their 2014 season opener at Arrowhead Stadium.

On defense, the Titans limited the Chiefs to one third-down conversion on 12 attempts, and they stymied Kansas City’s rushing attack. Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles carried seven times for 19 yards.

Tennessee Titans last game against the Denver Broncos

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Broncos scored 31 points in the second half to give them a 51-28 victory over the Titans at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Titans led at one point in the first half 21-10, but after that, the Broncos scored 24 unanswered points. Denver scored on each of its last seven possessions, excluding a final set of kneel-downs at the end of the game.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning completed 39 of 59 passes for 397 yards and four touchdowns without throwing an interception. He accounted for the second-highest number of attempts and completions against the Titans in the franchise’s history, behind only a 40-of-61 performance by Colt McCoy on October 2nd, 2011.

Tennessee Titans travel to New York Jets Sunday

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (3-9) travel to face the New York Jets (7-5) this week in their first of two consecutive road games against AFC East foes. Kickoff at MetLife Stadium (capacity 82,500) is scheduled for 1:00pm EST/noon CST on Sunday, December 13th.

This will be the first time the Titans play the Jets at MetLife Stadium, which opened in 2010. They have won at the venue, however, defeating the New York Giants there on September 26th, 2010. The last time the Titans visited the Jets was Week 3 of 2009 in the final year of Giants Stadium’s existence.

The game begins a rare span for the Titans that includes four home games and a bye. The next away game the Titans will play is November 1st at Houston, giving them five weeks during the regular season without a road contest. In the 56-year history of the organization, that has happened only three previous times: 1960, 1964 and 1967.

Tennessee Titans lose on the road to Baltimore Ravens 21-7

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (2-7) started the game strong scoring a touchdown in the first quarter while holding the Baltimore Ravens (6-4) in check. However, those were the only points the Titans scored. The Ravens posted a touchdown in each of the following quarters to win 21-7 Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Titans took their first drive from the Tennessee 20 down to the Baltimore 1 yard line. On 2-1, Shonn Greene ran off right guard but lost the ball. Defensive tackle Lawrence Guy recovered it for the Ravens.
