Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University football team closes out non-conference play with a major FBS opponent when the Govs travel to Vanderbilt, Saturday, for a 3:00pm contest against the Commodores at Dudley Field. The game will be aired on the SEC Network.
The contest will pit a winless Austin Peay squad against a winless Vanderbilt squad, but the Commodores have been fortunate to play each of their first three contests at home; Saturday will be the middle game of a three-game road trip for Austin Peay, set to conclude next weekend at Eastern Kentucky.

Clarksville, TN – With a handful of practices in the books, Austin Peay State University football team will take the field to scrimmage for the first time this spring, noon, Saturday, at Governors Stadium.
After a 2014 spring interrupted by stadium construction, the Govs have enjoyed excellent weather and a more tranquil Governors Stadium this spring, giving coaches and players a calmer ground upon which to hone their craft.

Clarksville, TN – With new Governors Stadium completion still days away, Austin Peay State University’s football team will scrimmage for the first time, 3:00pm, Saturday, at the Clarksville Academy Sports Complex.
The 70-play-plus scrimmage will culminate the Governors first two practice weeks, including a week-plus of contact work. Clarksville Academy Sports Complex is located on Highway 48/13.
Instant Peay Play: Several new faces will help greet APSU Student Athletes, Fans as school year begins
Clarksville, TN – With Austin Peay football players reporting this weekend, the 2014-15 athletic school year has officially begun, and with it there will be several new and old faces on the sidelines, courts and dugouts as they go there their seasons, as well as several coaching slots still to be filled.
One of the open spots just came open this past week, with men’s golf coach Kirk Kayden announcing that he would be leaving after almost 10 years at the helm to take the same position at Mercer University in Macon, GA.

Brandon Jordan, who played for Cannon at Missouri S&T and then served as graduate assistant a year ago, has been hired as defensive line coach while Leron Eaddy, who followed Cannon to Clarksville from Central Michigan to play his final football season, will be the program’s defensive back coach.
Austin Peay Governors vs. Murray State Racers

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Governors Football is still seeking its first 2013 victory as they travel to Murray State to take on the Racers Saturday, October 19th.
The Governors enter the contest with 21 straight road losses. Their last road victory came against Tennessee State, a 26-23 verdict, September 18th, 2010.

Austin Peay Governors vs. Eastern Kentucky Colonels

Clarksville, TN – After a week off, the Austin Peay State University Governors Football team will open Ohio Valley Conference play at the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Saturday, October 5th at 5:00pm CT.
This is the second straight season the Govs have played in Richmond, KY. This will be the 46th meeting, with the Governors trailing the series 5-40. APSU lost to Eastern Kentucky, 45-14, October 13th, 2012, in Richmond.
Austin Peay Governors vs. Ohio Bobcats

Athens, OH – For the first time this season Austin Peay State University’s football team ventures outside the state of Tennessee when it travels north to face Ohio, 1:00pm, Saturday, in Peden Stadium.
This not only will be the Governors’ first out-of-state contest but it as well will be their last non-Ohio Valley Conference game this season.
Clarksville, TN – Freshman forward Gina Fabbro, of Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
