MCSO, CPD, THP conduct Distracted Driving Bus Tour

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – On February 26th, 2020, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Clarksville Police Department (CPD), and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) conducted a traffic safety bus tour .

Law enforcement rode in an unmarked bus and after observing traffic violations, communicated to ground units to initiate traffic stops.

They conducted 51 traffic stops during the safety campaign.

City of Clarksville is cracking down on Litter

 

Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts requests stepped up Enforcement, Cleanups

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – People who litter Clarksville’s streets and roadsides are breaking the law, and Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts warns that those who do so are subject to citations, fines and even arrest.

“We’re seeing an abundance of trash along our streets and roads, and I don’t like it,” Mayor Pitts said.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from May 20th & 21st, 2016

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted checkpoint and impaired saturation patrols on May 20th and May 21st, 2016, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (US 41-A & State line) from May 20th, 2016 11:00pm to May 21st, 2016 1:00am were 437.

During this time, there were 234 vehicles stopped and 237 individuals charged.
