Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee Economic Development Council (EDC) extended an offer to Michael J. Evans (Mike) this Thursday morning to assume the reins as the Executive Director of the Economic Development Council. Evans will step into the role effective immediately.
The EDC was established in 1996, and currently promotes economic growth and development of Clarksville-Montgomery County.

The Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) Track & Field State Championships brought some 2,520 visitors, including 600 athletes, who competed at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium for top medals in discus throw, high jump, long jump, shot put along with multiple track events.

Packing tents, coolers and plenty of water, family members cheered runners along the two-mile course at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Numbers for Montgomery County increased to $205.1 million, up 1.3% over 2014.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau Announces New Board Leadership for 2016-17
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau announces that Louisa Cooke has been named chairman of the board of directors for the 2016-17 year beginning July 1st.
Cooke previously served as chairman of the board in 2006-07, 2001-02 and 1997-98, and has served on the board of directors for a total of nine years since 1996.
Clarksville, TN – Local residents can expect to see an increase in out of town visitors for more of July as approximately 8,695 visitors from across the country arrive in Clarksville to compete in the AAU Boys’ 10U Basketball Division I and Division II National Championship from July 8th-13th, followed by the Girls 6th Grade National Championship July 13th-18th.
A total of 52 boys teams and 63 girls teams will be competing.
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, July 25th, Beachaven Winery concert series ‘Jazz on the Lawn’ will feature music by the South Street Players. The music starts at 6:30pm and goes until 9:30pm.
It is also a themed event. Saturday’s theme is Christmas in July.
