Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville to host Cheers for Charity, April 29th

 

Junior Auxiliary of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville will host the 6th annual Cheers for Charity wine tasting from 6:00pm until 10:00pm, Saturday, April 29th, at Sango Event Center.

Cheers for Charity is a blind tasting where teams of two are invited to bring three bottles of the same wine. Upon check-in, two bottles are bagged and numbered for tasting, while the third is set aside to be awarded as part of the Grand Prize. At the end of the evening, the winners of Best Taste will be announced and receive the Grand Prize.

APSU Basketball Bash fundraiser set for Saturday, June 15th

 

Austin Peay State University ( APSU ) SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Governors Club is sponsoring the Basketball Bash, beginning 6:00pm, on June 15th at the Bud Barn on the Charles Hand Farm.

Tickets for the annual Austin Peay basketball fundraiser are $40.00 each and must be purchased in advance. All proceeds for the event benefit both the Governors and Lady Govs basketball programs. Tickets can be bought from Governors Club board members as well as from both basketball staffs.

City of Clarksville Celebrates Independence Day

 

City of Clarksville’s Independence Day CelebrationClarksville, TN – Well over 20,000 people jammed the banks of the Cumberland River as the City of Clarksville held their annual Independence Day Celebration last night. This celebration of patriotism is one of the most popular events hosted by the city each year.

This years celebration was sponsored by the City of Clarksville, Aetna Insurance and U.S. Bank.

Jammin’ in the Alley concert series announces this summer’s Line-Up

 

2012 Jammin' in the AlleyClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation department is excited to announce the line-up for this summer’s Jammin’ in the Alley.

The annual summer concert series, presented by U.S. Bank, is now in its 5th season and will feature a variety of local talent. In addition to the live music, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for concert-goers.
