Smith has been on the Titans coaching staff for eight years (2011-18), earning the trust of four different head coaches. Overall, he has 12 years of coaching experience with 10 of those coming at the NFL level.
“I am excited for Arthur and for our team to be able to elevate a deserving coach,” said Titans head coach Mike Vrabel. “I was impressed throughout the season in game plan meetings with his ideas, in-game with his understanding of situations and the ability to get the most out of his position group.”

On Houston’s first possession, DT Jurrell Casey sacked Texans QB Deshaun Watson for his 40th career sack. Casey became 10th player in franchise history to reach this milestone, while also forcing Houston to punt.

The Titans have won six of their last seven games on Monday Night Football, including a win in the only previous Monday night matchup with the Texans, a 20-17 final at Houston on November 23rd, 2009. Three weeks ago (November 5th), the Titans beat the Cowboys on Monday night in Dallas by a final score of 28-14.
