Knoxville, TN – No. 23/24 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball team (8-1) will face its toughest test of the season on Wednesday, as the Lady Vols go into Maples Pavilion in search of a victory over No. 1/1 Stanford (9-0). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:06pm PT (9:06pm CT).
This will mark the 37th time these programs have met on the hardwood, with UT owning a 25-11 record in the series.
The contest at Stanford marks only the third road game of the season and the first since November 11th for Tennessee. The Big Orange opened 2019-20 with a win at East Tennessee State on November 5th and then beat the Fighting Irish in Notre Dame on November 11th.

Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Lady Vols basketball hits the court for its lone exhibition game of 2019-20 on Tuesday, facing off vs. NCAA Division II school Carson-Newman at 6:02pm Central at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville.
The contest will mark the seventh-straight year UT embarks on a campaign with one exhibition game on its schedule and the 16th season in a row it faces C-N in an exhibition contest. UT is 15-0 in previous preseason meetings and 14-2 all-time in regular-season match-ups vs. the Lady Eagles.
UT opens the season vs. East Tennessee at 6:00pm CT on Tuesday, November 5th, at Freedom Hall in Johnson City.
Nashville, TN – Quarterback Steve McNair’s No. 9 jersey and Eddie George’s No. 27 jersey will be retired by the Tennessee Titans this fall to honor two of the franchise’s all-time greats.
Quarterback McNair’s No. 9 jersey and running back George’s No. 27 jersey will be retired in a ceremony during the September 15th, 2019 home opener against the Indianapolis Colts, Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk has announced.
