Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department continues to focus on enforcement of traffic laws in school zones and around school buses.
It only takes a few moments of conversation with school crossing guards to understand the depth of the problem. Three guards — Raphaela Velasquez, Vanna Gibson and Barbie Hemmingsen — recently visited Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts to appeal for help in getting drivers to behave in school zones.
Clarksville, TN – This morning, September 3rd, 2019, a pedestrian fatality crash that occurred around 10:42am that Clarksville Police are investigating at the intersection of Riverside Drive and College Street that.
A Clarksville Street Department employee in his 30s was working at the corner of Riverside Drive and College Street when he was struck by a tractor-trailer turning from Riverside Drive onto College Street. The city employee died at the scene.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are in the early stages of an investigation and sorting through conflicting statements from a crash which occurred earlier this morning involving a four year old male. CPD are providing the information which was consistent and confirmed.
Around 9:10am, Thursday morning, May 2nd, 2019, a four year old boy carrying a ball was walking toward Summit Heights Court in the Summit Heights Housing complex.

Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 around 6:05pm, Clarksville Police report a Hyundai Sonata driven by a 52 year old female was traveling west on Martin Luther King Parkway (76 Connector) when a 35 year old male pedestrian, wearing dark clothing, was walking south across the westbound lanes of the Martin Luther King Parkway near Economy Drive.
He crossed into the path of the Hyundai and was hit, left the ground crashing into the windshield, over the hood and then came to rest on the roadway.
Clarksville Police reports Pedestrian Involved Crash near the Intersection of Peachers Mill Road and Providence Boulevard
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department reports that the roadway is closed near the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and Providence Boulevard due to a crash that occurred just before 6:20pm Thursday afternoon, December 1st, 2016.
A vehicle struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian passed away at the scene of the crash.

Watch for Deer!
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that at approximately 5:00pm today, Thursday, November 17th, 2016 on Providence Boulevard, a car hit a deer and the deer hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian ended up with some broken bones and was transported to Tennova Healthcare.

Clarksville, TN – This morning, Monday, May 30th, 2016 at 1:23am, Clarksville Police Officers responded a traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Ashland City Road near the Gatlin Street intersection.
A vehicle struck the pedestrian on the roadway. The pedestrian was transported by LifeFlight to Nashville and sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash.
Clarksville, TN – On Monday, May 16th, 2016, Clarksville police officers responded to a pedestrian fatality at East Knollwood Circle near the intersection of Hietts Lane.
Joseph Pennington, the driver, was leaving a parking space at a building with multiple town houses on East Knollwood Circle. Before leaving, he saw a child on a scooter further up the road, but did not see any other children.
Clarksville, TN – This afternoon, Monday, May 16th, 2016 at 5:13pm, Clarksville police officers responded to a pedestrian fatality at East Knollwood Circle near the intersection of Hietts Lane.
A vehicle struck a two-year-old female on the roadway. She was transported by EMS to Tennova Healthcare and died from her injuries.
Clarksville, TN – On Monday morning April 25th, 2016, Clarksville Police Officers responded a traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Fort Campbell Boulevard near the Eva Drive intersection. A vehicle struck the pedestrian on the roadway.
The pedestrian, who died at the scene of the crash, was 43-year-old Young Su Kim from Clarksville. He stepped into traffic and was struck by a vehicle.
