Clarksville, TN – On June 29th, 2019 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Clarksville Police Department conducted a DUI Checkpoint/saturation patrol on Kraft Street.
Officers were looking for impaired drivers and took enforcement action on any other observed violation.
269 vehicles went through the checkpoint and 191 charges (72 of those were warnings) were issued.
Clarksville TN – On May 18th, 2018 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Hopkinsville Police Department, Clarksville Police Department, and several other law enforcement agencies conducted a DUI Checkpoint/saturation patrol on US41-A near the Tennessee/Kentucky State line.
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month
Clarksville, TN – April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Several law enforcement agencies including Tennessee Highway Patrol, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Clarksville Police Department kicked off the month with a Joint Distracted Driving Enforcement Operation in Clarksville on April 5th.
A van, manned with law enforcement, drove around the city looking for distracted drivers and other traffic violations.
Clarksville, TN – On December 29th, 2017 through December 31st, 2017 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Clarksville Police Department conducted saturation patrols to find and remove impaired drivers from the streets of Clarksville.
There were no vehicle fatalities in the city limits over the New Year weekend.
Clarksville, TN – On November 6th, 2017 around 7:00am, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle traffic crash in front of 850 Greenwood Avenue.
A 2004 Dodge Stratus crashed into a utility pole and witnesses saw the driver of the vehicle flee on foot from the scene. Officers were able to identify and locate the driver, Brandy Bourne, at a Summit Heights address.
Clarksville, TN – On October 20th, 2017 thru October 21st, 2017 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a DUI Checkpoint and saturation patrol to find and remove impaired drivers from the streets of Clarksville.
During this time, there were 66 vehicles through the checkpoint and 90 charges.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police nightshift patrol officers were kept busy Saturday night and Sunday morning with numerous calls-for-service that included vandalism with a firearm and a vehicle crashing into a house.
Officers investigated a report of shots fired around Paddock Place Apartments on Union Hall Road at 9:25pm. Five vehicles were found with bullet damage. Witnesses reported a slim black or Hispanic male, dressed in black, running from the scene.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted checkpoint and impaired saturation patrols on May 20th and May 21st, 2016, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (US 41-A & State line) from May 20th, 2016 11:00pm to May 21st, 2016 1:00am were 437.
During this time, there were 234 vehicles stopped and 237 individuals charged.
Fort Campbell, KY – This year the U.S. Army Soldier Show celebrates 30 years of being “Ready and Resilient” by paying tribute to many of our nation’s milestones, such as the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, the 75th anniversary of “God Bless America”, and the 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice.
On July 20th, two performances will be held at Wilson Theater, the first at 2:00pm and another at 7:30pm. The shows are free to attend and everyone is welcome. Seating is available on a first come first served basis.
