Austin Peay State University Public Relations, Marketing earns 16 Tennessee College Public Relations Association trophies

 

APSU Department of MusicClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) Public Relations and Marketing team won 16 awards during the 2019 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Awards at the association’s May 24th annual meeting.

The team won four golds, five silvers and seven bronzes.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) – Southeast District III for its recruitment work.

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Many faculty at Austin Peay State University were recognized Wednesday, August 22nd for their years of service to the University.

Dr. Bert Randall, professor of philosophy, has been a fixture on the APSU faculty for 40 years, joining APSU when there was a separate department of philosophy.

He received the 2011 APSU National Alumni Association’s Distinguished Professor Award.

New scholarly journal on hispanic studies comes to Austin Peay State University

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – On a Tuesday afternoon earlier this week, Dr. Osvaldo DiPaolo, assistant professor of languages and literature at Austin Peay State University, sat in his office looking tired.

A pot of hours-old coffee sat warming on a shelf while a cold rain tapped against his window. DiPaolo smiled softly at the sound and talked about taking a nap before dinner.

APSU broke ground today for new residence hall

 

Austin Peay State University LogoConstruction started today of a new $25.5 million student residence hall complex at Austin Peay State University. Actually, it started hours before the groundbreaking ceremony was held.

“This is a different kind of groundbreaking,” said Joe Mills, director of Housing and Residence Life at APSU. “Rather than having well-sifted ceremonial dirt, we’re actually using turned dirt.”
