Nashville Predators fall to the Anaheim Ducks in shoot-out 5-4

Nashville PredatorsAnaheim, CA – The Nashville Predators managed to secure a point, but lost tonight’s game against the Anaheim Ducks, 5-4.  Nashville picked up three out of four possible points on this “back-to-back” series against the L.A. Kings and Ducks.

The Predators survived an Anaheim onslaught in the first period managing to end the period with a 1-1 tie.

It was not a good period of hockey for the Predators but after Adam Henrique put Anaheim up 1-0, Austin Watson managed to bring Nashville even with a tip-in at 19:11 of the first period.

Nashville Predators lose their 6th game of their last 11 falling to Anaheim Ducks 3-2

Nashville PredatorsAnaheim, CA – The Nashville Predators are limping to the finish line of the regular season, unable to find ways to win.  Tonight, they dug a two goal deficit, only fight back to lose 3-2.

As the Nashville coaching staff continues to try and find the line combinations that will “click” the Predators are still making too many turnovers and not capitalizing on their opportunities.

Ryan Getzlaf got the Ducks on the board first just 3:30 into the opening frame, taking a Josh Manson stretch pass and ripping a snap shot past Nashville goalie, Pekka Rinne and the Ducks would take the early lead, 1-0.

Nashville Predators fall to Anaheim Ducks in shootout loss 2-1

Nashville PredatorsClarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators fell to the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 in a game that went to a shootout after the two teams were tied 1-1 through the overtime period.

The Predators had seven power plays on the night and couldn’t convert on any of those opportunities.

The power play continues to plague Nashville and it was the teams weak link tonight.

Nashville was playing without one of its stars, Viktor Arvidsson who was a recovering from a hit he received during Saturday’s Dallas Stars victory.

My Two Cents: Nashville Predators Continue Historic Stanley Cup Run

My Two-Cents with Hank BonecutterClarksville, TN – They say the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to hoist.  Well, if you’re a Predators fan, you know this all too well.  We’re not there yet, but what a battle it’s been.

This amazing team has rolled through Chicago and St. Louis and has taken the best shots that Anaheim has thrown at them.  Anaheim has turned this series into a gutter brawl.  Cheap shots, low blows and hits AFTER the whistle, but,  WE’RE STILL STANDING!  In fact, we lead the series, 3-2.
