Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball is set to play its final scheduled home game of 2020 when they host in-state rival Chattanooga Tuesday night, December 15th, 2020, at 4:30pm in the Dunn Center.
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) football program continues to add to its historic season in 2019, as it earned a first-round home game versus Furman, noon, November 30th at Fortera Stadium, in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs.
The Governors (9-3, 7-1 OVC), ranked 18th nationally, received the opening-round home game after defeating Eastern Illinois in its regular-season finale, 35-7, to win not only win the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title for the first time since 1977, but also claim the automatic bid the conference champion receives with a regular-season championship.
Clarksville, TN – Fresh off a convincing road win against Mercer, the Austin Peay State University (APSU)football team once again takes to the road this weekend when the Govs resume a rivalry that has laid dormant since the 1970s against ETSU.

Knoxville, TN – No. 15/14 Tennessee (21-6, 9-5 SEC) makes its last road trip of the regular season, traveling to Gainesville to face Florida (11-16, 3-11 SEC) on Thursday at 6:02pm CT.
This will mark the 55th meeting between these schools in women’s basketball, with UT holding a 50-4 series advantage, including 20-2 in Gainesville.
The Lady Vols and Gators also played in Tennessee’s 28th game last season as well, with the Big Orange coming away with a 74-70 victory in Knoxville on February 23rd.

Knoxville, TN – Coming off their first home loss of the season, the 21st-ranked Volunteers will look to bounce back against a hot Furman team Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena. The game will tip at 8:00pm CT and will be televised live on SEC Network and streamed online via WatchESPN.
Courtney Lyle (play-by-play) and Dane Bradshaw (analyst) are on the call for the matchup. Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to catch Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp describing the action. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online through AllVols.com.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s football team’s historic and compelling football season came to an end not on the field of play, as one would have hoped, but late Saturday night or early Sunday morning in a conference room, as the FCS Playoff Committee felt the Governors season came up just short of making the 24-team tournament field.
In fact, the Govs, who finished the season in second place in the Ohio Valley Conference with an overall record of 8-4 and 7-1 in league play was one of the last two team out as far as making the tournament field, along with Delaware (7-4/T4th Colonial Athletic Conference).

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University football team will step out of Ohio Valley Conference action to host Mercer for Saturday’s Homecoming contest with kickoff set for 4:00pm.
Austin Peay is 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the OVC after a 34-14 loss at No. 3 Jacksonville State.
Mercer comes into the contest at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Southern Conference after topping Western Carolina 38-24 in their last game.

Saturday’s meeting is the earliest contest between the two teams in the all-time series.
