Clarksville Police arrest Five in Homicide, Attempted Murder Cases

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have arrested five men in conjunction with the homicide of Joshua Ellis, age 32, on Givens Lane and the attempted murder of another man, 29 years old in Summit Heights on July 21st, 2019.

On July 21st, around 9:00pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shooting already occurred. When officers arrived, they found Joshua Ellis, laying on the ground and he had been shot. He was taken by Life Flight to a Nashville area hospital and died the next morning.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to take part in Summer Food Service Program

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – During the duration of the City’s Summer Youth Program, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

At 13 of the 15 program sites (all sites excluding Crow Recreation Center and Sango Elementary School) meals will be provided to all children without charge.

The seventh season of the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights program will kick off June 3rd and continue at various locations throughout the summer with DJs, athletic competitions, arts and crafts, local music performances, and more.

Clarksville Police investigate Child Chasing Ball stuck by Van

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are in the early stages of an investigation and sorting through conflicting statements from a crash which occurred earlier this morning involving a four year old male. CPD are providing the information which was consistent and confirmed.

Around 9:10am, Thursday morning, May 2nd, 2019, a four year old boy carrying a ball was walking toward Summit Heights Court in the Summit Heights Housing complex.

Meals to be served at Summer Youth Program sites

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is participating in the Summer Food Service Program throughout the duration of the City’s Summer Youth Program.

At 14 of the 15 program sites (all sites excluding Crow Recreation Center) meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, and reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service (not all prohibited bases apply to all programs).
