Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have arrested five men in conjunction with the homicide of Joshua Ellis, age 32, on Givens Lane and the attempted murder of another man, 29 years old in Summit Heights on July 21st, 2019.
On July 21st, around 9:00pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to a shooting already occurred. When officers arrived, they found Joshua Ellis, laying on the ground and he had been shot. He was taken by Life Flight to a Nashville area hospital and died the next morning.
Also, on July around 9:15pm, a 29 year old man was shot multiple times in the area of 13 Summit Heights. He was taken by Life Flight to Nashville for his injuries. He has been discharged from the hospital and recovered from his injuries.
The investigation lead to several suspects being involved in the homicide/shooting and the men were indicted during the September 2019 Grand Jury. There have been five men charged and additional arrests are pending.

Lewis Timmons
Lewis Timmons, age 19, of Clarksville (arrested in Knoxville); First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Weapon Possession in Commission of a Felony, Evading Arrest, Drugs for Manufacture/Sale, Two Counts Simple Possession, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and No Drivers License.
Kaleb Wilson
Kaleb Wilson, age 25, of Clarksville (already in jail for drug related charges when served): First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Weapon Possession in Commission of a Felony, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Kamren Bennett
Kamren Bennett, age 21, of Clarksville (already in jail for drug related charges when served): First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Weapon Possession in Commission of a Felony, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Dorris Acree

The victim and suspects knew each other in one capacity or another.
