Clarksville Parks and Recreation makes adjustments to Riverfest due to COVID-19

 

RiverFest 2019Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is adapting the traditional three-day Riverfest celebration into nearly two weeks of in-person and virtual events with the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic still having a widespread impact.

“Riverfest is our biggest event, and we know our community looks forward to it,” said Jennifer Letourneau, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director. “We’ve been meeting and discussing possible ways to bring this event to life even if it looks different this year.”

Hopkinsville Community College to hold Community Talent Showcase Wednesday, April 11th

 

Hopkinsville Community CollegeHopkinsville, KY – When Dr. Alissa Young was considering how to more fully involve the community in the life of the college, and how that could be integrated with her inauguration as the sixth president of Hopkinsville Community College (HCC), she envisioned multiple events where local residents could interact with each other and the faculty and staff.

She soon settled on the idea of including a showcase of community talent, stating, “When you hear of something interesting happening in Hopkinsville, I want people to think of HCC.”

Monrovia, Liberia – On December 31st, 2014, the 101st Sustainment Brigade, Task Force Lifeliner, Joint Forces Command – United Assistance, lower their patch in celebration of the New Year at Camp Buchanan, Buchanan, Liberia.

The Soldiers celebrated with a night fun run, a talent show, and the lowering of the 101st Sustainment Brigade Patch at midnight.

Clarksville’s Rivers and Spires continues Friday night with 7 Bridges Eagles Tribute Band, The Swon Brothers

 

Rivers and Spires FestivalClarksville, TN – The 2014 Rivers and Spires Festival kicked off with a bang Thursday night and the fun continues tonight. Thunderstorms that moved through the area last night are gone and the weather forecast is partly sunny with a high of 73°F. The music starts at 5:00pm and continues until 10:00pm.

Aspire to Stardom kicks things off on the Court House Stage at 5:00pm. This talent show will have youth from the area will singing and dancing in front of a panel of judges.

Fort Campbell Operation Rising Star Auditions start September 10th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Do you have what it takes to be the next Rising Star? If you think you have the singing talent to take home the $500.00 first place prize and make it to the Army-wide finals, then join MWR at The Zone on September 10th at 5:00pm.

Entry forms for Operation Rising Star can be downloaded and printed at www.fortcampbellmwr.com. Homecoming is October 24th-27th. Here is a list of events planned as part of the week long celebration. Many of the events are open to the public.

Some of the events include a Student Talent Show, Golf Tournament, Alumni Receptions, 5K Run, Homecoming Parade, Homecoming Football game and so much more.

New youth talent show to make its premiere at Rivers & Spires Festival

 

The Rivers and Spires FestivalAuditions are being scheduled now for a new youth talent show, “Aspire to Stardom,” which will premiere during this year’s Rivers & Spires Festival. Auditions are open to youth between the ages of 2 and 19. The top acts will be chosen to perform in the final talent showcase, which will be held April 16 at 6:30pm in downtown Clarksville.
