Tennessee Vols Football takes care of Missouri, 63-37

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – In his final game at Neyland Stadium, senior quarterback Joshua Dobbs accounted for five touchdowns to lead the Tennessee Volunteers to a 63-37 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.

Dobbs passed for 223 yards and three touchdowns on Senior Day. He rushed for two more scores — including a career-long 70-yard breakaway touchdown gallop down the Missouri sideline — to finish with a career-best 413 total yards.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee celebrates Senior Day on Saturday as it closes out its home schedule against Missouri at 2:30pm CT at Neyland Stadium.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast on CBS with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the booth and Allie LaForce reporting from the sidelines.

Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC) will be making its fifth appearance on the SEC on CBS Game of the Week this season, its most since 1998 when it made six regular season appearances on the network. Earlier this season, the Vols are the first team in history to be featured on CBS in four straight weeks.

Tennessee Vols hold on for 28-19 win over Ohio

Tennessee Vols wins their ninth straight game and moves to 3-0 with a 28-19 win over Ohio

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN –  Josh Malone caught two touchdown passes from Joshua Dobbs as No. 15/15 Tennessee outlasted Ohio, 28-19, on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium.

Dobbs finished 19-of-27 for 203 yards, two touchdowns and one interception and rushed 14 times for 59 yards and a score.

Malone matched his career high with five catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vols (3-0) racked up 201 rushing yards. Alvin Kamara had 67 yards on 11 carries and Hurd finished with 61 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 15/15 Tennessee returns to Neyland Stadium to play Ohio on Saturday at 11:00am CT. The game will feature a live television broadcast on SEC Network.

Saturday’s broadcast on SEC Network will feature Tom Hart (PxP) and Andre Ware (color analyst) calling the game from the booth and Cole Cubelic reporting from the sidelines. Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate with Bob Kesling, Tim Priest, Brent Hubbs and Eddie Moore in the booth with John Brice on the sidelines.

UT Vols Basketball roll over Florida Gators, 83-69

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – A complete effort on both ends of the court and 26 points from senior guard Kevin Punter Jr. propelled Tennessee to an 83-69 victory over the Gators Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Admiral Schofield followed up a career-high 22 in the Vols’ Southeastern Conference opener with 17 against Florida. Robert Hubbs III added 12 and Detrick Mostella 10 to give UT four players in double figures.

Tennessee stormed out to a commanding 53-31 at halftime and lead by as many as 30 in the second half.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee looks to maintain its perfect 7-0 mark at home this season when it welcomes SEC rival Florida to Thompson-Boling Arena at 7:00pm ET (6:00pm CT) on Wednesday night. The Vols’ SEC home opener against the Gators will be televised on ESPN2.

Tennessee (7-6, 0-1 SEC) suffered an 83-77 setback at Auburn to begin conference play on Saturday. Despite getting 31 points from Kevin Punter Jr. and a season-best 22 from freshman Admiral Schofield, the Vols were undone by a slow day from beyond the arc (3-of-28 as a team) and 17 made 3-pointers from the homestanding Tigers.

UT Vols Basketball come up short at Auburn Tigers

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsAuburn, AL – Tennessee rallied from double-digit deficit in the first half but could not come back in the second in a 83-77 loss at Auburn to open SEC play on Saturday at Auburn Arena.

Senior Kevin Punter Jr. matched his career high with 31 points to lead Tennessee (7-6, 0-1 SEC), marking the 10th time in 13 games that he has scored at least 20 points. Punter had entered the game averaging 22.2 points per game — the second-highest average in the SEC.

Freshman Admiral Schofield scored a career-high 22 points in his SEC debut.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – With 2015 now in the rear-view mirror, Tennessee turns its attention to Southeastern Conference play when it travels to Auburn on Saturday. Tipoff against the Tigers is slated for 2:00pm ET (1:00pm CT) on CBS.

The Vols (7-5) closed out its pre-conference schedule on Tuesday as it battled back to defeat a pesky Tennessee State squad, 74-69, at Thompson-Boling Arena. The victory was the second straight come-from-behind effort for Tennessee, which used an 11-3 run over the final 3:26 to erase a three-point TSU lead and seal the win. A similar effort was needed on December 22nd when UT closed out a 76-67 win over ETSU with a 15-2 spurt over the last four minutes.

UT Vols Basketball rallies late to beat Tennessee State Tigers, 74-69

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – A 9-0 run late in the second half helped to complete a dramatic come-from-behind victory for the Tennessee Volunteers, 74-69, over the Tennessee State Tigers on Tuesday afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Kevin Punter Jr. led UT (7-5) with 23 points, including a pair of free throws to seal the Vols final pre-conference game of the season in the final seconds. Detrick Mostella scored 16 points, the third time in his last three games that the sophomore has scored 13 points or more.

UT Vols Basketball push past East Tennessee State 76-67

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – An impressive final stretch that saw Tennessee hit six of its final seven field goals propelled the Volunteers to a 76-67 victory over in-state foe East Tennessee State on Tuesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Tennessee started the second half hitting just five of its first 24 shots from the field before the closing stretch, a 15-2 run over the final 3:51 capped by a thunderous dunk from Robert Hubbs III to put an exclamation point on the victory.

Detrick Mostella led the Volunteers with 17 points, tying a career-high. Armani Moore scored 14, Kevin Punter Jr. 13 and Hubbs finished with 11.
