Strong Thunderstorm reported south of Clarksville

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service reports that at 5:01pm CT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles south of Clarksville, moving south at 20 mph.

A significant weather advisory has been issued for West Central Davidson County, Central Dickson county, Southeastern Montgomery County and Cheatham County until 5:45pm CT.

Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm Warning, Wind Advisory

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The Nashville Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Northern Dickson County, Northern Cheatham County and Robertson County. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 1:00pm CST for Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee.

At 8:08am CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Elkton Kentucky to 10 miles north of Dickson, moving northeast at 60 mph.

National Weather Service issues Flash Flood Warning for Southern Montgomery County

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southern Montgomery County and parts of Middle Tennessee until 9:30pm, Saturday, February 23rd.

At 6:34pm CT, emergency management reported ongoing water rescues in northern Dickson County. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen with more on the way. Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Some locations that will experience flooding include: Dickson, Ashland City, Waverly, Erin, Coopertown, White Bluff, New Johnsonville, McEwen, Tennessee Ridge, Hurricane Mills, Pleasant View, Charlotte, Vanleer, Slayden, Cheatham Dam and Cunningham.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under a Flash Flood Watch

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Western Dickson County, Stewart County, Houston County, and Humphreys County that is in effect through early Thursday morning.

At 3:33am CST, Wednesday, February 20th, doppler radar indicated heavy rain and thunderstorms moving across northwest Middle Tennessee. Radar estimates up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen in this area since yesterday. The additional heavy rainfall this morning will cause minor flooding of roads and low lying areas across the advisory area.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Fred’s Burglary suspect Ronald Dye

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s assistance in locating suspect Ronald Phillip Dye, wanted for burglary.

On October 19th, 2016, sometime between the hours of 12:00am and 7:00am, Dye forcibly entered Fred’s located at 390 Highway 149 in Palmyra.

Dye attempted to disable the alarm and camera system. He broke down the door to the office area and removed a safe. He loaded the safe into a 2002 Ford Windstar van driven by his wife Ashley Dye.

Ronald Dye is wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in connection to the burglary at Fred's on October 19th.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a urban and small stream flood advisory for Montgomery county, Northwestern Robertson County, East Central Houston County, Northwestern Cheatham County, and northern Dickson County until 8:45pm CDT.

At 5:40pm CDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a significant weather advisory for Southwestern Montgomery County, Southern Stewart County, North Central Humphreys County, Houston County, and Northwestern Dickson County until 5:30pm CDT.

At 4:41pm CDT, doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Tennessee Ridge, or 12 miles south of Dover, moving east at 35 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
