101st Airborne Division wide clean-up conducted through teamwork at Fort Campbell

 

101st Sustainment Brigade - LifelinersFort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – In September 2019, the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) published an operations order directing the turn-in of all excess and unserviceable containers. The turn-in began early this month and will continue until completion sometime in January or February 2020.

Operation Clean Eagle’s goal, as written in the order, is to synchronize the efforts of all the brigades, getting them to come together to eliminate as much waste as possible and utilizing the mobility assets and support operations section of the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (AA) to get it done.

Fort Campbell Career Center prepares transitioning Soldiers, Spouses for Civilian Labor Force

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The Fort Campbell Career Center and Campus was recently opened to not only prepare transitioning Soldiers for the civilian labor force, but to assist spouses as well.

The agencies housed within Fort Campbell Career Center, 5668 Wickham Avenue, include the Career Skills Program, USO Pathfinders and Employment Readiness, as well as a newly formed agency – Campbell Strong Workforce Partnership.

“With all of the partners we have, between all their specialties, we can pretty much take care of all of the needs to prepare an individual for employment,” said Duane Soumis, transition services manager, Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program and Fort Campbell Career Center director.

Fort Campbell Soldiers, Families to Receive Christmas Trees from Trees for Troops

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program Fort Campbell Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) are working with FedEx Freight to deliver approximately 500 live Christmas trees to Fort Campbell Soldiers as part of the Trees for Troops program.

Trees will be available Saturday, December 8th, 2018 from 9:30am until 1:30pm for junior enlisted Soldiers and 2:00pm-4:30pm for any active duty Soldiers, while supplies last. (Military ID Cards will be checked).

Fort Campbell Intramural and Recreational Softball Season 1 set to begin April 27th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – The Fort Campbell Sports Office is now taking sign-ups for Company Level and Women’s Softball teams for season 1. Active Duty Soldiers must play with their assigned units. Women’s team players must be at least 18 years of age with a valid military ID card.

Games will be played at the North Softball Complex. You can register at the Sports Office located at 5666 Wickham Avenue.

101st Sustainment Brigade - LifelinersFort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – While the majority of Fort Campbell Soldiers have returned from their deployment in support of Operation United Assistance, there is still work to do.

All of the units that deployed have the massive task of retrieving their equipment so they can prepare it for reset. Reset is where the Army refurbishes equipment used or damaged during a deployment and restores it so it is fully capable for the unit’s next Rendezvous with Destiny.

Soldiers from the 194th Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, supported on Fort Campbell by the 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, push a Humvee off of a tractor-trailer March 26th at Fort Campbell, KY. The 194th MP was one of several units that deployed to Africa that was taking part in a mission to receive equipment returning from the deployment. (Sgt. Fort Campbell Army 10-Miler Qualifier Race

The Fort Campbell Sports and Fitness Office will be holding a 10-Miler qualification race on May 3rd with a gun start at 7:00am. The road race will begin and end at Wohali Pavilion outside Gate 10.
