Fort Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell Soldier died August 27th, after being struck by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device blast, while conducting operations in Kandahar city, Afghanistan.
Specialist Michael Christopher Roberts, 23, of Watauga, Texas, was a Military Policeman, assigned to 561st Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, Fort Campbell, KY. He joined the Army in November 2007 and arrived at Fort Campbell in February 2011.

Roberts is survived by his parents, David and Kathy Roberts of Watauga, Texas.Â
Fort Campbell holds a monthly Eagle Remembrance Ceremony to honor its fallen.
