Devotional from Brother Shepherd for November 13th

Written by Brother Shepherd

King DavidI’ve been reading in the Psalms here lately and I wanted to share a few verses from some of them today. In the 120th Psalms verse 1 it reads in the KJV, “A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.”

Here we find King David in deep distress, but when he prayed he knew God heard him. I find comfort in that verse knowing that when I pray God hears me and when you pray God hears it.

There’s another verse that is found in Psalms 126:5 in the KJV that reads, “5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” This tells me that when we go to Him with a broken heart He hears our prayers and gives us joy and comfort.

In Psalms 121:2 in the KJV, “2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” It tells us that we have a divine helper and that HE is the creator of Heaven and Earth and finally Psalms 119:2 and it reads in the KJV, “2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.” This tells me that if we seek God with all of our heart we’re blessed when we walk in obedience.

This is Bro. Shep asking you to think about it.

Matthew 28:18-20
