Clarksville, TN – Wednesday, November 16th, the Clarksville Civil War Roundtable, presented a check in the amount of $800.00, to the City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department at their monthly meeting.
The money will be used to purchase a picnic table to be placed along the path below the Fort Defiance Interpretive Center.

The City and the Department of Parks & Recreation are very appreciative that groups like this exist who truly care about the community and help to improve those things that they are passionate about. “They saw an immediate need and took it upon themselves to raise the dollars in a very timely manner to enhance the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center, said Parks & Recreation Director, Mark Tummons. “Without groups like the Civil War Round Table, we would continually be behind the curve and they are to be highly commended.”
