Nashville Sounds open Four Game Homestand on Saturday

Homestand Highlighted By Sounds Hat Giveaway And Trevecca Nazarene University Faith Night®

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return home to Greer Stadium this Saturday, June 2nd, to open a four-game homestand against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins affiliate).

Highlighting the homestand’s worth of promotions will be NEWS 2 Postgame Fireworks, a Sounds Hat giveaway, Teacher Appreciation Day, and the first Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHT® concert of the season.

Postgame fireworks, courtesy of Nashville’s NEWS 2, kick off the homestand as the Sounds welcome New Orleans Zephyrs for Saturday’s 6:35pm homestand opener. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a Sounds hat, courtesy of Jack in the Box.

Also on Saturday, multiple Dove award-winning artist Group1Crew will play the first Trevecca Nazarene University Faith Night® concert of the season on the plaza stage near the first-base entrance at Greer Stadium. Gates open a half-hour earlier than normal at 5:05pm.

The family-friendly Faith & Family Sunday will occur at 2:05pm on Sunday afternoon. Fans receive half off of reserved or general admission tickets when a church or community bulletin is displayed at the box office. Limit eight tickets per bulletin and only redeemable on the day of game. It is also Teacher Appreciation Day, as all teachers, school staff, and administrators presenting a school ID (or school pay stub) at the box office will receive one free ticket for the game.

The always-popular B-I-N-G-O will also be making its return to Greer Stadium on Sunday for members of Ozzie’s Kids Club, the ultimate fan club for kids 12 and under. Gates open at 1:05pm.

Monday’s 7:05pm contest against the Zephyrs will be Dollar Hot Dog Night at Greer Stadium, when hot dogs continue to be $1.00 at concession stands all night long. Gates open at 6:05pm.

The Sounds conclude their four-game homestand with New Orleans at 7:05pm on Tuesday evening with Tornados Tuesday 2-For-1 Tickets. Fans can bring a receipt with proof of Tornado snack food purchase to the Sounds box office and receive two tickets for the price of one. Gates open at 6:05pm.

Following the homestand, Nashville will begin a nine-game, seven-day road trip against two division rivals, beginning with a six-game series against the Iowa Cubs (Cubs affiliate), which includes a pair of doubleheaders to make up for two April rainouts.

Nashville then travels to face the cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals affiliate) in a three-game set for the first time in 2012 before returning to home on Thursday, June 14th to host an eight-game homestand against the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals affiliate) and Oklahoma City RedHawks (Astros affiliate).
