APSU Sports: Austin Peay Volleyball
Springfield, MO – Sophomore outside hitter Jada Stotts posted 13 kills but Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team could not solve No. 11 Dayton and fell in three sets (14-25, 7-25, 21-25), in the University Plaza Invitational, Friday, at the Hammons Center.

“Jada was impressive the entire match,” said Lady Govs head coach Taylor Mott. “As a team, we played really well in the third set after we didn’t get off to such a good start. I’m hopeful we can carry that momentum into tonight’s match against UALR.”
Dayton (4-0) had little offensive trouble, recording 47 kills and committing only seven errors (.408 team attack percentage). Senior outside hitter Rachel Krabacher had 18 kills and no errors (.562 attack percentage) to lead the Flyers offense.
Austin Peay continues tournament play when it faces UALR in a 5:00pm contest. It will be the second meeting in a week between the two teams, UALR winning a five-set match in Memphis on opening week.
