Austin Peay Governors Tennis sends two to 2012 USTA ITA Ohio Valley Men’s Regional Championships

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team will send two representatives to the 2012 USTA ITA Ohio Valley Men’s Regional Championships, 9:30am, Friday, at the Racquet Club of Memphis.

Senior Sean Bailey and sophomore Aleksas Tverijonas will represent the Govs in Memphis, TN. Tverijonas, the No. 16 seed overall, begins play at 2:00pm against Ball State’s Cliff Morrison, while Bailey goes off at 3:30pm as the 44th seed against Butler’s Pulok Bhattacharya.

The pair teams up in the morning for a doubles match against Chattanooga’s Ankit Chopra and Roberto Vieira at 9:30am; they will play again at 11:00am against Rhys Johnson and Ryan Lipman of Vanderbilt if they win their opening match.

This tournament will close out the fall season for the Govs, who are scheduled to resume play January 26th at Samford.
