Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Recreation Leagues registration begins Monday, February 3rd

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Registration will begin Monday, February 3rd for the Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Youth Recreation Leagues.

Participants can register through March 28th at any of our community centers, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Main office as well as online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com.

The baseball, softball and t-ball league is open to youth ages 3 to 14. Birth certificates are required at registration to verify the child’s age. All games are played at Heritage Park Baseball Fields.

Once again, Parks & Recreation will be offering Blastball!® for the 3 to 4 year olds. Blastball!® is a fun alternative to traditional t-ball and uses a “honking” base to entertain younger plays, bringing excitement to learning the fundamentals. This league concentrates on developing a child’s running, hitting, catching, fielding and throwing skills.

The cost to play in any of the Youth Recreation Leagues is $40.00 per child and includes a team shirt, hat and medal.

Opening Ceremonies will be June 7th and Games will be played at the Heritage Park Complex located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road beginning June 9th.

Each team will practice two times a week until the season begins, at which time, teams will have one practice a week and one game a week. Games will be held at the Heritage Park Baseball fields.

If you would like your child to be part of a team with other children from his/her school, be sure to include school information on your registration information or family’s profile if registering online.

These leagues rely on the generosity of the parents and volunteers to provide coaching support. There is no experience required. Please show your support by volunteering to coach. Coach training will be April 7th, 8th and 10th. Please contact Tina Boysha to volunteer.
