Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, continues Saturday, June 28th, at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville. ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ rated G, and brought to you by Realtor, Thryce Lindsey, will be shown at approximately 8:30pm (dependent on sunset).
The Wizard of Oz is about a girl named Dorothy Gale who is swept away by a tornado from her home in Kansas to a magical land. Dorothy and her dog Toto follow the yellow brick road and make friends along the way, as they head to the Emerald City to meet the Great Wizard in hopes that he can help return them home.
Activities begin at 7:30pm and include face painting, a costume contest, and badminton with Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Movie-goers should be sure to dress as their favorite character to participate in the costume contest!Admission is free. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, as well as your appetite, since food vendors will be on-site.
Arrive early to get a good seat and to participate in our pre-movie activities. Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed.
