Fresh Coat Painters of Clarksville gives back to Local Veteran

Fresh Coat PaintersClarksville, TN – When Rich Whitaker opened his Fresh Coat Painters franchise, he knew he wanted to prioritize giving back to the community. So when the Clarksville Home Builders Association asked him to paint a house for a fellow veteran, there was no question that the answer would be yes.

Whitaker and the team at Fresh Coat Painters of Clarksville recently painted an entire home for Staff Sergeant Adam J. Montavon and his wife, Sasha, free of charge.

The home itself was actually provided to the Montavons in April mortgage-free through the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

t was one of three homes across the state THDA donated to veterans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the state housing finance agency.

But as part of the program, the THDA was looking for help with updating the home and giving it a fresh face. That’s where Fresh Coat Painters of Clarksville came in.

“We are a business that gives back to the community. When Karen Blick of the Home Builder Association called, it was a perfect fit.  Our painters were excited to be part of a project like this and didn’t hesitate to volunteer their labor and a weekend. Working on projects like this allows me to stay involved in the lives of veterans and, in this case, build a new friendship,” Whitaker said.

Blick said having Fresh Coat Painters involved in the project really helped make the house feel more like a home and that their willingness to be involved was appreciated.

“The Clarksville Home Builders Association often has an opportunity to help those in need. Living in a military town humbles all of us. We learn first-hand the sacrifices of our military troops and families,” she said. “The home needed some TLC, so the HBA reached out to Richard Whitaker – owner and operator of Fresh Coat Painters. The Fresh Coat Family didn’t hesitate, they were quick to respond. Fresh Coat donated time and rallied to have supplies donated as well. We are proud to have members such as Fresh Coat who care about our community and is willing to work selflessly for others.”

Fresh Coat Painters of Clarksville officially launched in February of this year and have served the interior and exterior painting needs of over 70 residential and commercial clients.  Their quality work is featured on Angie’s List and at www.facebook.com/FreshCoatClarksville. In addition to the 24-hour service, Fresh Coat offers a 3-3-3 pledge, which means that customers’ calls are answered by a live person within three minutes, a free quote is delivered within three days (customer schedule permitting) and the job will start no later than three weeks from the day of quote.

Instead of using sub-contractors, Fresh Coat hires full-time painters to do the work, which Rich knows will make a difference to people in the Clarksville area.
