With the 7.64 besting the previous school-record in the 60m dash, Jones now owns, as either an individual or as part of a relay team, three school indoor records and two outdoor records.

Entering the upcoming weekend, the three-time 2015 adidas®/OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week (this week’s selection will not occur until Wednesday) is one of only nine athletes in the country to rank in their respective conference top-fives in the 60m, 200m and 400m dashes.

Of those, only four, including Jones, compete in a conference featuring at least 10 women’s track and field teams. Only three – Jones (200m and 400m), Quinnipiac’s Shameal Samuels (200m and 400m) and LIU Brooklyn’s Stephanie Adioo (60m and 200m) are also conference leaders in two of the three events.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.
