Clarksville, TN – Riding a four-match win streak, Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team opens Ohio Valley Conference play at home when it hosts Southeast Missouri and UT Martin this weekend at the Dunn Center.
The Govs and Redhawks will start the weekend with a 6:00pm, Friday contest. Austin Peay then hosts the Skyhawks in a 2:00pm, Saturday matchup.
This weekend the Governors welcome their families to campus and will recognize them during Friday’s contest.In addition, the Govs will welcome back their summer camp attendees during Saturday’s affair.
Austin Peay offers free admission to all home volleyball contests during the season.

Austin Peay returns home after sweeping through last weekend’s Bulldog Invitational. It is the Govs first 4-match win streak since September 2014. - Gable Governs.
Sophomore Cecily Gable is the reigning adidas® OVC Offensive Player of the Week after earning Tournament MVP honors at The Citadel. She had 64 kills (3.56 per set) during the week. - Stucker Sets The Stage.
Sophomore Kristen Stucker nabbed adidas® OVC Setter of the Week. She marshaled the Govs to a .256 team attack percentage while averaging 11.11 assists per set during the week. - Tens For Teeter.
Junior Kaitlyn Teeter posted double-digit kills in all five APSU matches last week, averaging 3.72 kills per set. That effort earned her adidas® OVC Newcomer of the Week – the first by any Govs player in conference history. - Block Big Again.
For the 2nd-straight weekend the Govs block was a big factory, averaging 2.54 blocks per set at The Citadel tourney. Sophomore Kaylee Taff led the effort with 15 blocks (1.25 per set). - Spreading the love around.
The Govs are the OVC’s 3rd-ranked offense (11.83 kills per set), but do not have a player ranked among the league’s Top 10 in kills. - Where Are All The Kills?
Junior Ashley Slay sits just outside the Top 10 with a Govs best 2.88 kills per set. She is 1 of 4 Govs hitters with more than 2.00 kills per set through 4 weeks.
