APSU Women's BasketballClarksville, TN – With the regular season in the books, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball is set to make its sixth-straight appearance in the Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Championship; where the Governors will square off with the four-time defending tournament champion Belmont Bruins in a 3:00pm, Wednesday, tilt at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Outstanding 2019 Austin Peay State University Football season honored at Night of Champions

 

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) football players, coaches, alumni and fans gathered Friday night to celebrate the historic 2019 season at the Night of Champions in the Dunn Center.

This event put the final bow on a campaign that yielded the program’s first Ohio Valley Conference title since 1977, its first-ever FCS Playoff appearance and resulting trip to the quarterfinals, as well as the program’s first consensus All-American since 2002 and myriad Coach of the Year accolades for the architect of the success, head coach Mark Hudspeth.

Jeff Bryant is running for Montgomery County Highway Supervisor

 

Election 2020Clarksville, TN – Jeff Bryant, a Montgomery County native, has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Highway Supervisor, where he will be running as a Republican against Kevin Griffy in the March 3rd Primary.

Bryant is a graduate of Montgomery Central High School, and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he walked on as a member of the Skyhawk Football team. He graduated in 2005 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering and immediately secured employment with Clarksville’s own DBS and Associates Engineering.

APSU Men's BasketballMartin, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball team is coming home with an unbeaten record in league play. 

At the end of a season-long four-game road trip, the Govs remain unblemished in Ohio Valley Conference play after a first-half explosion allowed Austin Peay State University to breeze to a 92-81 win against UT Martin at the Elam Center, Saturday.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Women’s basketball team already in must-win situation

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball team came into Ohio Valley Conference play last week with the best record among all conference teams in pre-conference games, but after dropping both home games at the Dunn Center to open OVC play they find themselves in a must-win situation as they head into a four-game conference road trip.

The Govs (9-4, 0-2 OVC) currently sit in a tie for 10th place in the conference standings, along with Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State – after dropping a 79-66 final to Southeast Missouri on Thursday and a 69-61 decision to UT Martin on Saturday.
