Clarksville Police report Shots Fired on Donna Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – This evening, Tuesday, September 4th, 2016 at 6:31pm, Clarksville Police Department Officers responded to a shots fired call on the 500 block of Donna Drive.

This was not a random shooting. After an altercation between the victim and the suspect, the suspect, 34-year-old James Shadowens IV from Clarksville, shot the male victim in the leg.

Erik Hedberg leads APSU at Skyhawk Classic

APSU Men's Golf - Austin Peay State UniversityBuchanan, TN – Senior Erik Hedberg earned his season’s first top-five finish, leading the Govs to a sixth-place finish at the Skyhawk Classic, hosted by UT Martin at Paris Landing Golf Course.

Hedberg’s final-round 73 kept him in a tie for fourth and earned him a spot on the all-tournament team.

Montgomery County Government receives two Greater Nashville Regional Council Local Government Awards

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – For the third time this season, junior Kirstin Robertson of the Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team has been named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Robertson becomes the second player in program history to earn three weekly OVC honors in the same season, joining McKenzie Dixon who did so in 2015.

Clarksville Police reports Shots Fired at Blakemore Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Last night, October 3rd, 2016, between 11:22pm and 11:27pm, Clarksville Police Department officers responded to Blakemore Drive after receiving a 911 call of a Home Invasion.

The suspects forced entry into the house and shot a male that was inside. Due to the quick arrival of officers, the suspects fled before being able to take property.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Madison Street Lane Closed for Road Repair

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed the outer eastbound lane of Madison Street at Walgreens, 1954 Madison Street, to Irene Drive for road repair work.

The inside lane of Madison Street will be designated to through traffic.

The work is anticipated to be finished and the lane reopened by approximately 4:00pm.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 29th, 2016, Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operation Unit conducted operations targeting the sales of alcohol to underage persons.

Compliance checks were done on 9 businesses with 8 businesses being found in compliance and 1 business cited for sales of alcohol to underage persons.
