Clarksville, TN – After a hiatus, Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s golf team is back in action this week, beginning Monday in Spartanburg, South Carolina—site of the 2019 Wofford Invitational.
The Country Club of Spartanburg will host this week’s event, bringing together a trio of Ohio Valley Conference teams in Austin Peay State University, Belmont and Tennessee Tech, along with Spartanburg’s two Division I institutions in Wofford and USC Upstate.
Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, Delaware, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Longwood, Preybyterian, Radford and Western Carolina round out the teams set to compete on the 6,648-yard layout.
The two-day event features 36 holes on Monday, with the final 18 scheduled for Tuesday.
Much stays the same for Austin Peay from a lineup perspective. Riding high off his spring’s second top-10 finish, junior Michael Busse is once again at the head of the lineup, with sophomore duo Chase Korte and Garrett Whitfield scheduled to play as the No. 2 and No. 3 players in the lineup this week.
In addition to the lineup, senior Sam Lopez will make his second appearance this season as the individual, the last coming during the fall at Austin Peay’s annual home event.
