Clarksville, Tn –-Austin Peay State University women’s cross country team will host the 2019 APSU Cross Country Festival, Saturday. The women’s five-kilometer race will begin at 9:45am, on the Eastland Green South Nine course.

Last time the Govs hosted their home meet, Austin Peay finished runner up to Evansville. The Governors are looking to change that and top Evansville with strong runs in this season’s meet. Emmaculate Kiplagat will continue her campaign trying to add another top-15 finish this season. Molly Howard looks to make another strong statement just like last season where she placed in the top 10 individuals.
Mikaela Smith will work to continue her hot start and match her top 20 (16th) from last year. Larin Harr intends on repeating her solid finish from last season when she placed 17th. Alura Endres will seek for an impressive outing compared to last year when she finished in the top 15.
Sara Martin hopes to keep her hot start going and prevail to another team top-four finish. Newcomers Keleah Shell, Alura Endres, Destiny Nicholas, and Sophia Wilson all are seeking to help the Governors in their first home meets.
