New Board Announced

A slight change in leadership for the 2020 season. Renee Bruens remains league President, with Charmaine Coles taking the Vice President position. Vanessa Lovato comes back from a “9 month injury” (pregnancy) to fill the Treasurer position, with Brandy Steeley as Co-Treasurer, while Marie Starry retains the Secretary spot.

New Opportunity

Clarksville Roller Derby will be working with our sister team Vette City Roller Derby out of Bowling Green, KY to give all levels of players equal opportunity. CRD will be paring with VCRD for WFTDA sanctioned games as the B or C team, traveling as far as Ohio and Mississippi—tournaments and single games.

Home Opener Hugh Event

On February 8th, CRD is hosting a “Bloody Valentine” themed day of derby. Two clinics taught by top-level skaters—our own Charmaine “Beastmode” Coles and Tinisha “Freight Train” Bonaby of Texas Rollergirls fame.

Clinics followed by an open gender scrimmage and a main bout—CRD vs. Hard Knox Roller Girls out of Knoxville. This family friendly event will help support Companion Pet Rescue of Middle Tennessee and feature Cub Scouts of Cogioba District presenting the American flag for opening ceremonies.
