Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has closed 200 feet of the westbound lane on Ashland City Road (Highway 41-a Bypass) and will shift it to the center turning lane near the Seven Mile Ferry Road intersection to allow for site repair at the point of last week’s sixteen-inch water main leak.

Clarksville’s 1st Annual International Women’s Ride set for May 1st

 

International Female Ride DayClarksville, TN – On May 1st, 2021, the 1st Annual International Women’s Ride will begin at Appleton Harley-Davidson. Registration starts at 9:00am. KSU is at 10:00am.

Appleton Harley-Davidson is located at 2501 U.S. 41a Bypass in Clarksville Tennessee.

The ending point for the ride is Pati’s 1800s Settlement located at 1793 J H O’Bryan Avenue in Grand Rivers Kentucky.

American Red Cross urges Blood Donation During the Season of Giving

 

American Red CrossNashville, TN – December may be the season of giving – but it’s typically a challenging time to collect enough blood donations. Add in a pandemic, and this year could be even tougher than usual.

That’s why the American Red Cross is urging those who are feeling well to give the gift of life by donating blood or platelets this holiday season.

Clarksville Roller Derby set to begin 2020 Season

 

Clarksville Roller DerbyClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Roller Derby (CRD) is excited to begin the 2020 season with an away game against Atlanta Roller Derby January 25th. This is the first game back after the winter/holiday break.

CRD has nearly doubled our numbers over the past year. Lots of new skaters (fresh meat) as well as vets joining us from all over the country.

CRD is also skating in a new venue! Rainbow Skate Center, located at 2631 41 A Bypass Clarksville Tennessee, will be hosting our home bouts.

Clarksville Police report 41A Bypass reopened

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police announce that the 41A bypass has been cleared and reopened.

The 41A Bypass was closed due to an overturned asphalt truck at 1590 Ashland City Road. The 41A Bypass was closed in both directions between Seven Mile Ferry Road and Glendale Drive.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are at the scene of an overturned asphalt truck on the 41A Bypass, 1590 Ashland City Road. The 41A Bypass will be closed in both directions between Seven Mile Ferry Road and Glendale Drive. Seek an alternate route.

There is no estimate for reopening at this point. The company is being contacted for clean up.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department has turned off water service on Gratton Road and vicinity to repair a water main leak near the Gratton Road and Ashland City Road (41A Bypass) intersection.

Clarksville Law Enforcement, Emergency Units respond to Bomb Threat

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Law Enforcement, Clarksville Fire Rescue, Homeland Security and Emergency Management were on scene at the 2400 block of the 41A Bypass in response to a bomb threat.

Around 11:55am, on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 a business received an email threat which, in part, follows below:

“Good day. There is an explosive device (Tetryl) in the building where your business is located. It was built according to my guide. It can be hidden anywhere because of its small size, it is impossible to damage the structure of the building by this bomb, but if it explodes there will be many victims.
