Clarksville Gas and Water Department announces South Third Street water outage, road closure planned

Traffic Detour; Madison Street and Hiter Street

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has planned a water outage on Thursday, December 9th, at 10:00pm on South Third Street for commercial water meter replacement.

Low water pressure may also affect the vicinity while the work is performed.

South Third Street will be closed between Madison Street and Commerce Street and will only be accessible to local traffic and emergency vehicles. All other traffic will be detoured to Madison Street and Hiter Street to avoid the work zone.

The water meter replacement is anticipated to be finished, water service restored and the road reopened by approximately 5:00am on Friday, December 10th.
